Hi, my name is Jim and my wife is Jackie - I am a medically retired LOD Police Officer. I have been continually fighting my injuries and chronic pain since I was injured. In August of 2022 I was finally approved for the implanting of a spinal cord stimulator to break up the chronic pain. This was done and I was sent home to heal. Within 2 days my heart went into AFIb and was racing out of control. This caused me to drop because of huge drops in blood pressure. Back to the hospital - more cardiac tests - resulted in finding 1 artery 100% blocked. This artery was accessed and stented. Sent home to heal up. Within 2 days I was awakened in the middle of a full seizure. Off to the hospital again. Admitted and scans down - where they found a tumor growing on the frontal lobe causing large swelling and the seizure. Initially was going to be taken right out but due to the early stages of having that stent opening the artery - it was more medically prudent to hold off a few weeks with stent and blood thinners in place. New scans will be done in November and a plan will be made to formulate the removal. So basically I am in a waiting pattern and this is going to be a longer road that anticipated. This is hard for me to do but I don’t have any options - I’m bedridden at this point and have no idea when and if I can go back to my job at Outerlimitsproshop in Holbrook. Those that know us - know that Jackie has been disabled for years by Lupus. Any thing that can be donated would be hugely appreciated. I’m looking to stay in the fight with and keep a roof over our heads as we head into winter.
