I find myself in a very unfamiliar and, more importantly, uncomfortable position. 2025 has not been very kind to me, and today it feels as if I have officially lived my worst day up to this point. I am being evicted from my home and have to vacate prior to 9/11/2025, pursuant to the court ruling at my hearing this morning (8/28/2025). After leaving the courthouse, I got to my vehicle, which will be my home in the next few days once I'm able to move my items out of my apartment, and it refused to start. No matter what I did or tried, no luck at all. So, I had to call and have it towed to the dealership to find out what's wrong with it. This all comes on top of the fact that I haven't been able to secure gainful employment as of yet; my unemployment has run out; and I'm either too old for a program or not old enough for them. I am stuck in this never-ending grey area and cannot seem to catch even the smallest of breaks.
I have no clue what's wrong with my van and, therefore, have no clue how much it's going to cost above the $195.00 diagnostic fee, and I'm not even sure at this point how I'm going to come up with that minimal amount, let alone trying to pay for any repairs that arise via the diagnostic check.
I also have 2 dogs that I'm trying to get assistance with food for them until I'm able to get back up on my feet again. I'm hoping I can find a place to live, but I don't have any options currently since I don't have any way to pay a deposit or rent or any move-in fees. I find myself stuck in a quagmire that I cannot seem to come up with any solution upon which to get myself out. That is why I am swallowing my pride and sincerely asking anyone for help! Any help, regardless of size/amount, would be beyond appreciated, in addition to sharing this on social media, if you feel so inclined to do so on my behalf.
Thank you for considering my request and, whatever you may decide, I wish to truly thank you for reading my story and I hope you have a blessed day!
if I fail to vacate by 11:59pm on the deadline (9/11/2025), the landlord will file immediate possession with courts and I’ll be forcibly removed and anything left in here will be considered abandoned and thrown away. If that happens, I’ll end up with an eviction on my record and it’ll be that much harder to find a new place to live if I ever save up enough to do that.
my most pressing issue is my vehicle repairs. You see, I plan on living in my van once I’ve moved out & cleaned my apartment. With it being in for repairs, I not only have nowhere to sleep but I also have no way now to move my possessions into storage before the deadline. I also have my two dogs with me and surrendering them or refining them is not an option regardless of my circumstances!
