I NEED YOUR HELP TO ACHIEVE MY GOALS…

Hi, I’m Bella Carruthers, and I am 18 years old. I started karate at the age of 4 with Sensei Lee, and began competing nationally and internationally at the age of 7 for Sport Karate Academy, who I still compete for now, with Lee as my coach, who has helped me achieve my goals below.

As well as competing for SKA, I was selected for the South West England regional team at the age of 10 and am still successfully representing them at competitions.

At the age of 13, I was selected for the England National team and still hold a place on the team now.

In 2023, I successfully won silver at the Belgium open, silver at the E-1 series in London on the Saturday and gold at the Elite International Open on the Sunday, and bronze at the Central England. On top of this I finished the year competing at the Regional Clash, representing South West England as the best girl for the 16-17 age category in the region.

In 2024, your kind donations helped me to secure the badge, where I represented England at the World Championships in Venice. I am now focusing on the England badge for the U21 European Championships in Feb 2026.

In 2024, I competed at the following competitions:

• British 4 Nations, Champion 1 x Gold

• Karate 1 Youth League, Pamplona, Spain

• E-1 Series Manchester, 1 x gold

• Karate 1 Youth League, Porec, Croatia- 3rd round result

• E-1 Series London, 1 x Gold

• Karate 1 Youth League Venice, Italy

In 2025, I am trying to build up my points, for the England badge at the Euro’s, so I am trying to compete (or have competed) at the following competitions:

• Cyprus series A

• KSE open 2x Silver

• Karate 1 Youth League, Pamplona, Spain

• National championships 1xGold 1xBronze

• E-1 series Manchester 1xGold 1xBronze

• Karate 1 Youth League, Porec, Croatia

• Series A Salzburg

• Series A Kuala lumpur

• Liege Open Belgium

• Karate 1 Youth League Venice, Italy

• E-1 series London

• English International Open

As karate is a self funded sport, every competition, including flights, hotel accommodation and entries have to be paid for by my family!
