I Need Your Help! Old House to New Home from Homelessness x

Hi, my name is Zoe. I’ve actually can’t believe I’m having to do this but from my post I put on Instagram yesterday about my situation, I’ve had a lot of friends that I’ve met over the years message me with help and support and asking if I have a Go Fund Me Page. Didn’t think I should as I work full time in a good job and I’ve worked all my life.

The last 2/3 years have been so hard financially & emotional due to numerous reasons which I don’t want to go into at the moment. I suffer with anxiety and depression and have had a few dips over this time but I’ve got to keep going for my little girl Elsie. Elsie is just over 2.5 years old, she’s had medical conditions since being in my belly. She’s got a bladder, kidney and eye condition but she’s healthy and they are manageable especially with Alder Hey taking care of her. Elsie doesn’t speak, she is so noisy though! If anyone knows me, she takes after me for her loudness haha! She is currently awaiting to be seen by Speech and Language and recently a referral has also been made as Elsie is showing signs of being on the autism spectrum. Elsie is such a happy little girl and sometimes I wish I could be in her world!

So the reason for my post on instagram was that I had no other choice other than to swollen my pride & ask for help, as I want to do my best for Elsie, she is my priority and always will be!

Elsie and I have been in emergency temporary accommodation for the last 8 weeks now & are classed as homeless. We’ve now been given a house to move into (got the keys Tuesday) but it’s a shell, needs some work doing to it, some TLC to make it into a home for us. The previous tenant/s had feel may have been elderly, bless them so needs updating & getting rid of the ciggie smell that’s is currently embedded in the old wallpaper which is all over the house. Elsie and I have nothing, only a couch which one of my best friends have given me and a television along with some little bits and pieces. Well along with things I now need to go through the messages on Instagram. Yes, as mentioned above I do work but money has been tight and still is but I’m working on this going forward so I’m never in this situation again! I know it’s hard for everyone right now but if anyone can help, I would truly appreciate it more than you will ever know. I just don’t have the funds to kit out a house as well as make it a home right now and I wish I did. I’m currently awaiting to see if I am eligible for support and grants but it’s a waiting game! Elsie and I have been lucky to be able to stay in the temporary accommodation until Monday 6th January, they did want us to move on Christmas Eve but luckily I’ve got an extension due to our situation/circumstances.
