I NEED YOUR HELP FUNDING MY BIGGEST MURAL YET!!!

Hi everybody! My name is Lanous Wright II and I'm coming to you asking for your help. Recently I've come into a slow season with my business and started searching for job opportunities at Mercedes Benz Stadium. Lucky for me, the staff still encouraged me to practice my craft by any means necessary and I immediately became inspired. HOWEVER! I am in need of funding.

PROJECT

A new mural project has presented itself as a partnership with Mercedes Benz Stadium and Atlanta United FC, but i need the help of my community, family, friends, and fans of ATL UTD, in order to make the vision become reality. Last month i applied for a $10k grant for LIVING WALLS ATL but my proposal was denied.

However, this did not discourage me, but motivated me to work on proposals, grant writing, and taking matters into my own hands and create my own opportunities. Plus, the GoFundMe company will also be giving up to fifteen $2,000 business grants to eligible Black owned business fundraisers that give back to their community, so I figured this would be the perfect platform to ask for you all's help.

LOCATION AND INSPIRATION

I've found a building owner across the street from Lakewood Amphitheatre that is leasing wall space for the remainder of the year and after sending out my proposal for public art to numerous store fronts and small business owners, I finally got a response from someone who appreciates my mission and vision. Public art inspired by black African photography by Michael Aboya and our championship soccer club, Atlanta United FC, will inspire the children of the inner city to have the spirit of unity and see beauty within themselves. I also hope to inspire the executives and creative directors of the Mercedes Benz stadium so that I may, one day, be chosen to add a mural inside or outside, from small business storefront to stadium status.

FUNDING

Not only will your donations help pay for thousands of dollars of premium outdoor art supplies needed to paint this mural, but it will also pay for the safety equipment needed for me to reach every square inch of this 16ft tall building. The money goes towards outdoor mural paint, spray paint, brushes, measuring tools, boom lifts, ladders, anti-graffiti coating, stencils, projectors, transportation, and paying the owner for leasing the wall space all the way into 2023.
