Hi... I'm Sheri... October 26, 2023 I was rushed to the hospital and into surgery because I had somehow ended up with Necrotizing Fasciitis (“Flesh-Eating Disease”) on both upper thighs. Aftrr emergency surgery where they had to remove the skin,fat, part of the muscle in order to get ride of the diseased parts,I ended up spending 14 in the ICU Doctors thinking I wasn't going to make it and if I did they would probably have to amputate my.left leg and possibly my right as well.

To their surprise, I made it and they didn't have to amputate either but I ended up spending 31 days in the hospital.

When I was finally released, and sent home, I was walking with a walker but could only go short distances because my legs would give out and I'd get really dizzy and fall. Couldn't eat solid food without vomiting it right back up.... Lost 114lbs because of it... went from. 234 down to 120lbs (and I'm 5"10) I looked like a skeleton. Had ho.e nursing coming daily because they had to change dressing and the VAC machine that I had in order to basically suck out all the infection, physical therapists, dieticians, nurses, workers (getting me a walker, bath chair, bed rail,etc) all coming to my house to get me walking, trying to find things I can eat or drink to help put some weight back on and get some strength back....

Now it's 8 months later and my right leg (the problem leg) still isn't healed. I've gone through my savings over the last 8 months and I need some help... I went through June with $18 for groceries, gas, house bills etc. I'm close to being homeless because I don't have anymore mo ey to live... to pay my rent, pay my bills, to live, but groceries so I don't loose anymore weight...

If you can find it in your heart to donate, to help me I would appreciate it very much. It would help relieve my stresses with bills, help get groceries so I stop loosing weight and my body gets strong enough to be able to finish healing so I'm finally able to get back to work and back to living again and not just existing!
