Hello.
First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to help me. A few days ago, I returned to my country, Guatemala, after 16 years away. I was able to hug my family, especially my mother. I am very grateful to God for the opportunity to return. The situation in the United States was very complicated for me, but with the help of many friends, I was able to do things I wouldn't have been able to do in Guatemala. I returned because I want to help my mother and father, who are elderly. Unfortunately, the reality in Guatemala is different. Not even a month after I returned, I was robbed at gunpoint. With physical and verbal violence, they took my belongings. Things that are essential for me to be able to work and continue surviving. Any help you can give me, no matter how small, will help me replace my cell phone, my Guatemalan ID, a little money I had in my wallet, and another little that was stolen from my bank account. A police report has been filed. However, I need to keep generating, and without my basic articles, it's almost impossible for me to find work or a new safe place to be. The violence here is scary. I still love Guatemala and the people... but i need to live in a better space out of the city, in a better and safe place.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help. God bless you!
