I need help paying my mum's medical bills.

Hi, My name is Kaycee. I currently work as a nurse in the UK but I am originally from the Philippines.

On September 24, 2022, my mother was admitted to the Hospital because of infected gallstones, due to limited medical resources in the Philippines, it was challenging for the Medical Team to give her the immediate and effective care like here in the UK. Her infection progressed to sepsis, then septic shock, which at the end she had multiple organ failure.

From the Emergency room, she was transferred to Intensive Care Unit. She has daily dialysis, IV antibiotics, and is ventilated.

She got through the ordeal for a month of fighting. She was transferred to a regular hospital bed, however after 3 days, she developed hospital acquired pneumonia and pressure sores. She then got transferred back to the Intensive care, ventilated again and at present remains there being treated.

At present, our running bill is 1.7million Philippine peso which is equivalent to 25,000 British Pounds. Healthcare in the Philippines is not free. We are being charged from the treatment, doctor's bedside review of the patient, medications and even patient's gown and blanket.

Even if I work 3 jobs, I will not be able to raise this amount of money. I have savings, but it's not a great deal of money.
