I need help paying bills while in the hospital.

I officially work as a part time deli slicer who actually works full time hours but with no benefits. Since I have no benefits, I have no sick days. That means I will not have any income when sick.

Friday I suddenly started feeling violently sick at work and started throwing up. I asked to leave work early to go to the Emergency Room. I was stuck working an extra hour after I asked to leave till someone could come cover my shift.

I was admitted to the hospital Friday after I left work. I have a serious UTI and double kidney infection. I am getting intravenous antibiotics to treat my infection which is 500mg of Levofloxacin. Fun fact, that is the same medicine used to treat the plague.

Unfortunately I am allergic to the medicine but it is the best medicine to treat my infection. I have to be very closely monitored during treatment. The medicine makes my arm swell with burning and itching sensations. I feel itchy all over and get short of breath. The staff puts ice packs on my arm and gives me large doses of Benadryl to manage my reaction.

I am allergic to penicillin and the other alternative medicine used to treat my infection. Levofloxacin is the medicine I have the least amount of reaction too. That means I will most likely be in the hospital for my entire treatment for close monitoring since I could develop a life threatening reaction at any time.

I also found out that Benadryl drops my blood pressure into the basement. That's why I sleep for 14 hours after taking it. I was medically advised to avoid taking Benadryl in the future to prevent organ damage due to low oxygen caused by low blood pressure.
