Hello. My name is Junie (21) and I live near Portland, Oregon. I'm transgender and autistic, and me and my partner, Layla (22, currently lives in Idaho, also transgender and autistic), are trying to get an apartment together in my area in June-July since my lease is up and neither of us feel safe in the places we're currently in anymore. I currently work in food service, but she doesn't currently have a job due to companies in Idaho continually turning her down.

I currently live completely alone in a 1-bedroom apartment that I haven't been able to afford since October. I haven't been able to work as many hours I was before then, due to burnout and mental health struggles caused by the election. In addition, my rent increased after an old partner co-signed the lease with me and then moved back a week later, basically leaving me in the dark. The only reason I was able to afford rent is due to my mom helping me out with it, but she's not currently in a spot where she can anymore due to her own living expenses.

Currently, Layla is living in Idaho with her family, who she is not out to. She has been having issues with the way her parents have been treating her recently, and generally not been feeling very safe around her parents, and we want to move her to where I live so we can find a less expensive apartment, she has a safe place to start her transition, and so we can both thrive together.
