Hello, my name is Timothy Gomez. I was born with cerebral palsy in 1973. I've had a disability all my life, but I never let it stop me from trying to live my life to the fullest. Employment and independence have always been big parts of my life. My first job was at 13 years old. I had to stop working back in 2012 because of medical issues related to my disability. After a decade of working out things medically, I'm ready to go back to work. I already have a part-time job as an adjunct professor of psychology at the local Community College in Elgin.
When you have a disability, it can be tough to get around, so I'm looking to raise some money to help me purchase a new accessible vehicle. The vehicle will allow me to drive from my wheelchair safely. It will be a big help in maintaining my employment as well as looking for other opportunities where I can help other people with disabilities.
Thank you so much for your support. I’m proud to share that I passed the NCE on January 6, 2026. Your generosity helped me move forward toward becoming a therapist and advocating for people with disabilities. I’m deeply grateful.
