I need a new wheelchair and it ain’t cheap!

Hi, my name is William, but Bill to all my friends. I was born with spina bifida and have a great life, I’m active and contribute as much as I can to society and clubs that I belong to… but… around 5 years ago I had to accept that I finally had to use a wheelchair, something I had resisted for a long time. That’s ok though, it’s given me a new lease on life… a life with less pain and keeping a good degree of freedom! So it was all good!
About two years ago I started having back problems and headaches. Sometimes these issues were quite severe so I started a process of finding out why…. And it turns out that my current wheelchair is largely responsible as it causes my posture to be very poor indeed.
So, the net result is that I need a new wheelchair, and that doesn’t come cheap, especially when you consider a cost of living crisis that is hurting a lot of the population, not just myself. A good well measured up wheelchair is fundamental to any wheelchair users life, and makes the difference between “life” or “existence”, and a great quality of life that can be enjoyed and fulfilling. That’s how important this mobility aid is.
May I ask that, if you can, bearing in mind the cost of living crisis, that you give what you can to keep me active and to help me maintain the freedom I have, whilst remaining in good health? I know it’s a big ask, especially now, but anything and everything is hugely appreciated and always will be.
Thank you so very much.
