Hi, my name is Tom! I'm 36 years old and I'm making this GoFundMe as a last resort.

I haven't worked since November. My unemployment has run out and the funds I was expecting to be available by now haven't come through. I'm 2 months behind on rent and the landlords are threatening eviction. I have lived here with my dog (Artie! That's him in the picture. He's much more photogenic than I am.) for 8 years now. It's the longest I've lived in one place in my adult life and we're very happy here. I'm scared we're going to lose it if I can't figure something out soon.

My rent itself is only $800/month (wildly cheap for this area!) and I'd hate to lose it. My goal of $2,000 would cover me for the 2 months I'm behind and hopefully give me a foothold to pull myself up for July. Hopefully I can find some work soon and the money I'm still expecting (mostly a tax return that was supposed to come on the 15th) will finally be deposited. I can only hope.
