I need a lawyer to get my cat back

Hello, my name is Natalie. I just got out of a toxic 9 year abusive relationship. Unfortunately he has decided to try and take all of my belongings, as well as my cat Deku. He is my emotional support animal. I tried to remove my guns that are registered to me off my premises and he decided to tackle me to the ground and I had to run and leave them behind. I am scared of him. I need legal help since he sent me to jail because of the incident with me trying to remove my guns from the premises and I knew he was suicidal so I didn't want him anywhere near them, and he has threatened to kill me himself and other people before. I don't have enough money for the lawyer because he has been unemployed for years almost our whole relationship and I have been paying for everything going overdraft almost every other paycheck in order to support us both. He would spend my money on things while I was at work without my permission. The lawyer doesn't accept a payment plan and he needs the $2,500 up front but I only have .80 cents in my account. I am so tired and exhausted. I want this to be over so I no longer have to relive this hell I have gone through. I wanted to be civil and give him things even though he has not contributed but he decided to make it to where I have to go to court and defend myself. I was denied for a public defender and I applied for it twice. There are several things I want back but my main concern is my cat Deku. I am the one who adopted him in my name and I have the paperwork for that. I'm not allowed within three blocks of my apartment, so I need a lawyer to help me be able to get anything back. I only have a little bit of clothes and can't afford to replace my wardrobe for work. I'm desperate and need help and I'm sorry I even have to ask in the first place. If you can even contribute a little I would be so grateful. I'm scared and out of options because my court date is on the 29th. I wish I didn't have to deal with any of this and I appreciate the support from everyone else in my life.
