**Please Help My Sister Zoey Feel Better**
— A message from Suki the cat
Hi! my name is Suki. I'm 4 years old, and I have a sister named Zoey. We’re bonded—like, really bonded—and we’ve been together since forever. Our cat parents, Terese & Jeremy, adopted us both in January 2021, and we’ve lived happily ever after… until now.
Zoey isn’t just my sister. She’s my best friend. We do everything together—chase our toy mice, play with our catnip pickles, watch the humans from way up high, and zoom around the house like little tornadoes. We especially love snack time when we get our favorite treats—freeze-dried minnows! (They’re SO good.)
But something really scary happened recently. Zoey got sick. At first, she just seemed a little off… and then she couldn’t walk anymore. She had to go stay overnight at a big hospital called Blue Pearl so she could see a special kitty doctor (I think they call them neurologists). While she was there, the vet did a bunch of tests and found out Zoey is FIV+ too. My mom says we still don’t know exactly what’s wrong, but Zoey has to get an MRI and maybe more treatment after that.
Mom is doing everything she can, but the vet bills are getting really, really big. I know she’s worried, and honestly… so am I. The house feels weird without Zoey here. I miss chasing her and snuggling with her and hearing her little paw pads run across the floor. I just want my sister home.
That’s why I’m asking for help. If you can, please help my parents pay for Zoey’s vet bills so we can get answers and help her get better. I’ll even share my minnows with you (okay, maybe one or two... they’re REALLY good).
Thank you for reading and for caring about my sister. We just want her home again, safe and happy.
Love and purrs,
Suki
