I am a woman, immigrant, and small business owner who built a wellness company from the ground up. After years of hard work, my world collapsed. Following the breakdown of my marriage, I lost access to our shared business, my income, and my healthcare. The circumstances surrounding my termination and exclusion are now the subject of ongoing court battles. What I believed was a partnership turned into a devastating loss of livelihood and security.
When I filed for divorce, events unfolded rapidly:
Locked out: I lost access to business accounts, payroll, and booking systems.
Property & funds: Real estate was sold and funds redirected without my involvement. A grant I had worked hard to secure disappeared through “expenses” that I never approved.
In court: While hospitalized abroad after a car accident, legal actions were filed that affected both of our jointly owned businesses. Waivers were submitted in my name, though I never consented. By the time I returned, decisions had been made that stripped me of rights and left me voiceless.
I believe the evidence shows a pattern of financial manipulation and legal maneuvering that left me without income, health insurance, or stability. While he was represented by multiple attorneys — paid from company funds — I was left to face the courts alone, without severance, without profit share, and without the safety net we had promised each other when we founded our business.
Meanwhile, my reality could not be more different from his.
I now survive on food pantries and church assistance, while he lives a life of luxury. He has hosted lavish celebrations abroad, including a wedding-style event in Hungary estimated at $100,000 and a bachelorette party in St. Tropez, France. He drives luxury cars, wears only high-end designer clothing, and vacations freely. The contrast is devastating: I am struggling simply to pay for housing, medical care, and legal help, while he lives in comfort and excess.
Today, I am involved in six different lawsuits — from divorce, to fighting business dissolutions, from unpaid wages to defamation. The stories told about me change from one courtroom to the next, but the result is the same: I remain cut off from my business and my livelihood, while my former partner continues forward without accountability and setting his new business up.
