"I Love My Mama" Retreat

My name is Cyndi and I am a mama of an angel. My son Braxton gained his wings in 2019 after a battle with brain cancer. No mother should have to experience the pain of losing a child, but if she does moms need a place to go to talk, laugh, cry and meet others that have experienced the same pain. I will be hosting my first retreat in 2023, and I hope to continue growing this much-needed platform. Mamas will be able to attend the retreat on the Smith 400-acre timber farm, in Alabama, located on a creek at the base of the Appalachian mountains. The four-day retreat will focus on the physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being of the mothers. Mothers can enjoy nature with yoga, hiking, kayaking, four-wheeling and even fishing. They can listen to speakers, and participate in group, partner and individual counseling sessions. Mothers will socialize, share memories, experience celebrations of life, and make connections for a lifetime. We will listen to each other testimonies, praise and worship and enjoy God's beauty. We want mothers to have a special weekend just for them because mamas of angels have suffered a loss that is unimaginable, incomprehensible and not something that many people will ever understand. Braxton was not shy in announcing to everyone "I love my mama", boy do I miss hearing that!
