Hi everyone, I never thought I’d be writing something like this.

I recently lost my mom unexpectedly, and it has completely broken my heart. She went into the hospital for back surgery, made it through the surgery successfully, and I was told to expect a full recovery. But something went wrong during her aftercare, and she suddenly passed away. I still don’t have clear answers from the hospital about what happened or how this could have happened.

While trying to process all of this, I’ve also been hit with overwhelming and unexpected expenses: $5,000 for an autopsy $2,000 for the investigation into her passing $3,000 for cremation $5,000 in mortuary fees I’m doing everything I can to get answers and to finally lay her to rest properly so we can honor her the way she deserves. At the same time, this has put me in a very difficult position financially. I’m trying to stay afloat and keep up with basic responsibilities like rent while dealing with all of this and the pain of grieving is unbearable.
