Hi, my name’s Christina, I've done many a Go Fund Me to help others but I never thought I’d be here for me especially not for something like this.

After years of instability, I finally found a space that felt like home. I moved into my flat close to 3 years ago at one of the most painful periods of my life - returning to London to bury my mum, homeless and emotionally drained. This home felt like she guided me to it. It became my sanctuary. A space I poured love into. A space that held me while I healed.

It wasn’t just somewhere to live. It gave me safety and stability. My safe space after years of turbulence.

A few weeks ago, I took my first proper break in three years a short sabbatical after working nonstop through some of the hardest years of my life. When I came back, I walked into a nightmare.

My flat had been completely overtaken by black mould after a hot water leak caused widespread condensation. It was unlike anything I’ve ever seen - it took over every room and everything in it - everything I own.

Almost everything is destroyed.

• My furniture, clothing, books, kitchenware, tech stuff my laptop / iPad

• My sound healing instruments and my work tools / documents

• My sentimental things I’ve collected over the years

• My sense of peace

Some items I’m trying to salvage but the truth is: most of it is gone. I’m now displaced, trying to find new housing and having to start from scratch.

I’ve never done something like this before and asking for help publicly isn’t easy for me. But I genuinely don’t know what else to do.
