I lost everything I have in a fire

Hi my name is Kaci. I lived in the building on 33rd and Morgan St. that caught fire today at 4:30AM. I woke up to the sound of firefighters running up the stairs of the building and realized that my unit was already half full of smoke. None of the smoke alarms went off which left me with no time to grab anything. I only had time to grab my pets and get out to safety. We are not allowed to go back in the building for anything. Not even to see if we can salvage any belongings… I don’t have my ID or any of my credit/debit cards. I’ve been in contact with the bank to secure new cards but that’s difficult to do without an ID. I literally only have the clothes on my back and my pet babies. If you can support me in this devastating time, I will be forever grateful.

And a huge thanks already to those who have reached out and offered clothes and a place to stay. My babies and I are in a safe place right now.
