I am left alone with a niece and a nephew

“My name is Ceylan. I am one of the earthquake victims and I need your help.

I lost my dad when I was a child. I was living with my mother but tragically lost her during the recent earthquake in Kahramanmaras which affected my city, Adiyaman, and destroyed our house with my mum trapped inside. I also lost 2 brothers, 3 sisters-in-law and 8 nephews and nieces.

I myself was trapped under the rubble for 7 hours before the rescue team got me out. Despite all the tragedies that I have had, I am grateful that one of my nieces (12 yo) and one of my nephews (13 yo) survived like me.

I started my university this year to become a teacher. I am studying English preparatory this year and I have 4 more years to go after that. I study with 50% of tuition fees covered by a success scholarship from Yeditepe University, Turkey. I receive very little financial aid from the government which would have been fine under normal circumstances. However, I am left with 2 nephews to look after and there is no other financial support to cover all our needs, my tuition fees, educational expenses, transportation, rent and living costs for myself and my nephews.

As I find it even more of a struggle now to complete my education and look after my niece and nephew at the same time, I am making this urgent plea for financial assistance. Would you be so kind as to help us?”

All donations will be used to support this family to start a new life, and to make sure that Ceylan completes her education so that she can be ready to look after her niece and nephew.
