I HATE being here like this but I don't know what else to do. My name is Duncan. I'm a 37 yo divorced father of 2 beautiful children who both have special needs. They are my world. I'm also a cancer survivor and have had three major heart attacks. Despite working 40 hours a week and doing door dash on the side, I simply cannot keep up with everything and one of the things I have been forced to sacrifice is my physical health. I'm looking for another job, but due to stupid mistakes in the past, I'm not "qualified" for anything other than the manual labor that is rapidly killing me. I need to go to my cardiologist that I haven't seen in 4 years, and I need to see a PCP about a myriad of issues that I can no longer manage with simple diet, exercise, and over the counter meds. I don't like asking for help but I'm at my wits end just trying to keep a roof over my kid's heads and food on the table. Anything is appreciated. A thousand seems like a lot but it's 150 for a consult at the doctor, 250 at the cardiologist, and that's before and diagnostics or prescriptions.
