I Heart Jordyn
Donation protected
This is my precious granddaughter Jordyn. She was born in November 2017, with big, bright, smiling eyes. A delight to her mommy, daddy and two brothers, Nona and Granddad's sweet little angel.
When Jordyn was two weeks old, she was diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect (V.S.D). which is a hole in the wall of the heart separating the two lower chambers. Little Jordyn has been under the care of a Pediatric Cardiologist. She has gone through continuous testing, scans, x rays, MRIs, hospitalizations, medications, feeding machines and tubes. She had to be isololated through cold/flu season and has had more urgent trips to the hospital than I can count. Her parents have worked night and day to give her the best opportunity to grow and heal on her own. We had hopes that the hole would close on its own, but unfortunately it has not, and medical intervention is unavoidable.
On July 31, my sweet grandbaby will be admitted to CHEO, where she will undergo open heart surgery. She will remain in ICU for the entire first week. If all goes well, she will stay at the hospital for 2-3 weeks, and then return home to complete her recovery.
During this time, Tysen will need to take unpaid leave from work to be with his baby girl and to help and support Ashley. Though most of the medical care is covered, there will be a lot of expenses piling up for Ashley and Tysen as they will be away from home for weeks with no income. The purpose of this fund is to help alleviate the financial burden of lost wages, and help to cover some of the extra expense. In doing this my hope is that they will be able to put all of their focus on Jordyn and each other during this most stressful time.
Ashley and Tysen were reluctant to allow me to create this fund. They love to help others when they can, but they don't like to ask for themselves. Please know that they appreciate any gift, large or small! If you are unable to make a donation at this time, but would like to help, please contact me.
And thank you sincerely from Nona, Granddad and the entire clan.
