Hi, My name is Lariesa and I'm 33 years old.
I unfortunately have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) since 2013 and has have been fully disabled since 2019.
MS is an auto-immune disease that attacks its own bodies nerve system, which can have effects such as losing strength in muscles and blindness. I discovered I had MS when I felt my leg was asleep for 3 weeks straight and I couldn't feel half of my face anymore. These "MS attacks" recover over time that can leave permanent damage, which happened to me with a constant pain in my leg that never goes away. I also feel extremely fatigued and have to sleep ~12 hours a day. I have a Bachelor Degree in Medical Science so I thankfully knew what was going on in my body.
After a few years of still working in the Science field with MS, my relationship of 10+ years ended because of the disease, I lost my job because of my disease and basically was left with no money. I felt trapped in my own body end ended up in a deep depression. I live on disability funds since then.
I recovered a bit mentally and trying to pick myself up again. Unfortunately, I can never have a normal job again. One of the biggest hobbies in life is playing videogames. Therefore, I set up a Twitch Channel to see if I can earn some extra money through that route and not having to fully rely on Disability funds.
I hope raising money will help me to buy a gaming PC so I can invest in my Twitch channel. I graduated with Honors and Cum Laude, had a good job and tried to do everything as best as I could in life, but the disease unfortunately destroyed everything I worked for. I wish I never had to make a GoFundMe but I really need the help.
Anything will do and I will forever be thankful for the kind people that can help.
I also have a more in-depth of all what happened here:
Thank you for reading my story and I hope that you might consider donating.
Best wishes,
Lariesa
