My name is Jim Hoffman. I have lived an active and productive life for 64 years. It all came to an end on May 23d of 2022 when I suffered a massive stroke which paralyzed the left side of my body. My ability to do almost everything for myself was gone, and I’ve incurred debt beyond my ability to pay. This includes almost $2,000 for transportation to and from doctor and hospital visits, $180 for doctor co pays, approximately $309 for hygienic supplies, and $200 for a walker. These will be ongoing expenses because I have to use my credit cards to pay for these expenses.. In an attempt to save money for transportation and have more mobility freedom I took out a loan for a handicap ramp at a cost of $8,700. The payments for these expenses are overwhelming but I still need a cement pad poured to enable me to get to the car and an electric wheelchair to get to and from the car because my caregiver is not able to control the weight put on the wheelchair because of my large size. These things would greatly improve my mobility to get around more easily, to get me out of the house and not be house bound. I would greatly appreciate anyone that could help me improve my quality of life by contributing anything that is possible.
