I have cancer and that stuff is expensive.

This is easily the most embarrassing message I’ve ever typed and that includes that whole losing a foot pursuit to a dead guy. I hate even thinking about asking for help with the smallest of things so you can imagine the level of wanting to hide I’m experiencing with this.
One of the downsides of having cancer (and trust me, there are plenty) is the toll it takes physically, emotionally, but also financially. Insurance covers most of it but every test, appointment, and extra medication requires out of pocket expenses. It sucks. Add to that the fact that in a few months I’ll have to be off work for more than likely a month and a half. You can see where this is going. Short and long term disability will kick in but that won’t offset the big gap between normal pay and what that covers. So here we are.
Look, strippers and beer are expensive these days (thanks Brandon). And with chemo days wiping me out to the point of hiding in the shower The Crying Game style, I will soon find myself standing at a stop light offering myself for any amount. Everyone has a price, and mine is probably going to be extremely low.
I’m starting this GFM to hopefully keep me from living in a van down by the river. Although, with the weather turning nicer it may not be such a bad idea. I know times are tight for everyone and I don’t expect anyone to give but I am at least trying all avenues to not have to turn to stripping. And don’t nobody want to see that.
If you can give, I’d be forever grateful. If you can share I’d be just as thankful. Either way, I am appreciative of each and every one of you and your support.
