Student has 5 days to pay rent before eviction

Hi, my apologies for choosing to remain anonymous it’s because, as much as this is my last resort and hope, it is hard.

Here is the situation.

My landlord told me yesterday (Tuesday) that I have until the end of the week to give him a full month of rent for October.
With the adversities I’ve been facing for the past year and the most recent ones, I contacted him to make an arrangement which was that he could take into consideration my last month deposit for the month of October and for November, I’ll complete the difference to the furniture deposit, provided that I can provide him with September rent. I sadly was unable to do so because my mom stopped the payments of my tuition, after I took distance from her and the toxicity of our relationship on advice of my therapist. However, to be able to graduate I need to be debt free. The importance and urgency to graduate is all the more real as my study permit expires in November. So I took it upon me to pay that debt. Not foreseeing that the administration will make it harder and harder for me to obtain my letter of completion.

Here is my story.

You can call me Jee. My pronouns are she/her. I’m a black international student who has been facing adversities of all sorts for the past year.
From mental health issues due to an extremely toxic single parent household back home (depression, panic attacks, anxiety attacks, PTSD episodes) , to physical health (from contracting covid and its variant twice in the same year and not having the financial capacity to correctly follow-up on my health) . I’m even yet to do a cervical biopsy I was referred to after alarming tests results and symptoms to make sure it’s not linked to cervical or vaginal cancer. All this has heavily affected my academic success. But I’ve been able to complete the remedial work.

My mom disowned me a couple months ago for not being able to finish school in June 2021 like I was supposed to and for blaming it on « non-existant mental health issues that I created myself to justify my laziness ».
Additionally, I’m currently unable to work because I am done with my courses, not enrolled in school. I’m actually just waiting on the petition committee to approve my different standing agreements for my grades so that I can obtain my letter of completion for my application for the post graduate work permit. My study permit expires in November and going back home is clearly not a feasible option as I would have nowhere to go.

I was able to gather $150 using the last dollars I have to my name. Unfortunately, my friends, who have been helping me a lot so far with either groceries, food, shelter, emotional support, over the counter medication, rides to the clinic; are unable to help me much at the current moment.

Sadly, I still have my credit card to pay since last year. Phone bill to pay. In need of groceries. My monthly prescriptions to get. In all honesty I’m unsure about how I will survive in November, if I will even survive October. I don’t know where I will get the money for November bills as the petition committee meets on October 24 so I wouldn’t be able to work until November, provided I have a positive answer from them.

Therefore, I’m fundraising for 2 months of rent (Including transaction fees). I’m hoping to get support for this month’s rent but also November’s. I also would love to be able to cover some of credit card debt and have some money aside to rise. I’m literally imploring any person who can help me to get out of this as I’m out of options. Staying at my friends place is complicated too as most of them are with families and have already been sheltering me occasionally for 8 months.

A month’s rent, with utilities is $1,450. I have a $60,000 student loan back home with monthly payments of $943 that started in July for which my request for extension was denied. My monthly prescription costs me $32. My credit card balance to pay is $2,900. It used to be $3,900 but over the past months I’ve been able to pay back $1000. Not being Canadian or a permanent resident, I can’t have be granted any governmental or provincial help. My home country only provides help for residents on the soil. I’m not eligible for Toronto rent bank either.

Once again I apologize for the lack of personal information, photos and visual more proofs. I know how it can be interpreted. But I beg of every one of you for help.
