“Love In Belfast” Feature Film

Hi, my name is Gary Duffy and I am fundraising to make a feature film.

The film is titled "Love In Belfast" is a Romantic Comedy set in Belfast. It focuses on the intertwined lives of several characters: Julia, Ben, Louie, and others. Julia and Ben are close friends and roommates, with Ben being a flamboyant, humorous man, and Julia a confident, career-focused woman. Their daily routines, friendships, and office dynamics are explored in a lighthearted and humorous way.

The story takes a dramatic turn when Julia discovers she is pregnant after a one-night encounter with Louie, a man she has only met who recently moved back to Belfast. Louie initially hesitates to be involved in the child's life, which causes tension between Julia and her friends, particularly Ben, who was ready to help raise the baby with her.

The script covers themes of friendship, loyalty, personal growth, and relationships, both romantic and familial. Ben reconnects with his estranged father, George, while navigating his own romantic life with a new partner, Josh. Meanwhile, Louie must come to terms with his own fears about fatherhood and his complicated past.

The plot is infused with humor, particularly through Ben’s witty commentary, but also touches on deeper emotional conflicts surrounding family, identity, and responsibility. The narrative builds towards the resolution of these relationships as the characters confront their futures with both trepidation and hope.

The money we raise will go towards helping bring our vision to life through locations, set design, feeding our cast and crew along with so much more. As you can imagine making a feature film is not cheap or easy but we WILL do this.
