Hi, my name is Alex and I was recently carjacked while delivering for DoorDash. While I was making the delivery, a man went up to the driver's side of my car and got in. I ran back as fast as I could and started to get in when the man accelerated while I was hanging out of the vehicle. I saw them reach for their waistband, so I let go and they sped away. A police report has been filed, but in the meantime, DoorDashing was my primary source of income, and my occasional work as an extra required a car to get to shoots. I don't currently have enough money for my living expenses, so I'm coming to my community to ask for support with my rent and food costs while I search for another job (and pray that my car gets found).
