I saw him on the side of the road, shaking and covered in dirt. At first, I thought it was just another stray… until I got closer and noticed the swelling on his head — a large, painful abscess oozing pus. The smell of infection was unbearable. He was in agony, but he still wagged his tail when I approached.

I rushed him to the vet, where they drained the abscess and started antibiotics. The vet said the infection had spread deeper under the skin and that he will need several treatments, cleaning procedures, and possibly surgery to fully recover.

The costs are already climbing, and for a street dog like him, there’s no one else to help. I already care for several rescues and simply can’t cover this on my own.

He’s finally safe, but without continued treatment, the infection could return or even become deadly.
