I, Evangeline Byars need your help!

For three election cycles, the Samuelson/Utano regime has misinterpreted Articles 13 & 17 of the TWU Constitution. This has been done deliberately to disenfranchise the membership of TWU Local 100 and suppress our vote so they stay in power. I call it a scheme to suppress dissent! Who will not be able to run, vote, or get a ballot in the 2021 TWU LOCAL Wide Elections if your dues are not paid by the 1st or 15th of the month or you do not ask for a exoneration within 1 month and two weeks:

• Any member who has been out sick or injured on duty in a no-pay status

• Any member whose workers' compensation case has had a disruption resulting in no pay or your case controverted. (At this very moment 100's if not 1000's of our member's comp cases are in a no-pay status)

• Any member who has served suspension time.

• Any member out No Work Available or in a no-pay status.

• Especially women denied a reasonable accommodation due to pregnancy

However, the COVID19 pandemic has been the perfect storm to expose the Stacey Abrams-level voter suppression tactics by the incumbents. The Incumbent, President Tony Utano hopes to escape the democratic accountability of the membership due to his weak response during the still raging Covid19 Pandemic. Many members are now permanently disabled and have exacerbated pre-existing conditions due to contracting COVID19 while in the performance of their duties. The incumbents have now forced these members into "bad standing" without "notifying" them.

Lastly, these efforts take lawyers and the funds needed to pay the lawyers. We have exhausted all of our resources and need your help. We have hired Jeanne Mirer & Retu Singla esq to fight on our behalf. In order for them to continue and win the fight to end voter suppression, I need your help!
