Diversity Education w/ K-12 Literature & Resources

Hello and thank you for your support!

My name is Aisha and I am the creator & curator of I Dream Library  - an online open-source Educator Resource project!

What We Do

i Dream Library™ offers K-12 literary tools and educator resources that engage diversity, intillectual inclusion  and critical social justice conversations through the intersectional realities of a childhood, public safety and mental health.

Anti-racism Anti-Oppression, Homophobia, Sexism, Ableism, Body Dysmorphia, Mental Health are all public safety issues that CAN be adressed in classroom environments when educators feel they have the tools to take the urgency of social responsibility.

The Genesis

After 2 years of independently funding research & design of an online literary model that supports educators in creating safe and inclusive classrooms for all students, we launched our site in April of 2019!
Now is the time to engage community investment and make I Dream Library's diverse & inclusive resources an easily accessible reality.

Our Year so Far...

In 2019 I have worked with the Vancouver School Board to offer district wide KidLit resources for

- Black History Month
- Womxn's History Month
- Equity Poster Series featuring the 4 hashtags that guide of the urgency of our work.

I contributed BIPOC Queer & inclusive K-12 literary selections for educators across BC in collaboration with SOGI 1 2 3.

With great momentum and more projects in Ontario & BC this fall ....

I have dedicated 100% of my time in August to preparing 2019 / 2020 Diversity & Inclusion Resources for students, educators, caregivers & community leaders: Here's how you can help!
