I don't want to lose teeth I can't afford to keep!

A Friend I haven't been in contact with in a long time, Robert Mason, reached out to me in desperation over many defeating life events. After breaking through some of the hurt he felt for my absence, we caught each other up. Robert told me some of the amazing things he had done with his life, and I replied in kind, until his recountal took a solemn turn. I could no longer continue sharing as my life got better and better and his worse and worse. There are many things I can't change, fix, or make up for, but I can help the oldest and dearest friend who remained loyal even in my absence. I am raising funds to help Robert with his most pressing issue. Due to some of the stressful life events and resulting personal neglect Roberts teeth have begun to cause him so much pain it is impossible to simply enjoy a meal. The pain is constant and regularly causes headaches, and occasionally skull splitting migraines.

Hello my name is Robert.
I’m a 35 year old music teacher, and I have a plethora of nagging dental issues.  I’ve never had a job that offered insurance, and just couldn’t afford the visits after I fell off my parents insurance. I have been trying for almost 10 years to save my teeth, but as much as I brush and clean, I can’t fill cavities my self at home, and they’ve grown and multiplied and spread. The only thing I’ve been able to do is have my teeth pulled one at a time AFTER they become a major issue. I have 2 molars left and both already need to be pulled, there’s nothing left of them to save. The back lower right one is essentially a blade now that slices my cheek. There are over 15 large cavities,  big enough that the edges break if I eat anything remotely crunchy. I can barely chew anything, and it’s getting harder and harder to eat. When one does get infected and needs to be pulled, I’m left, literally writhing on the floor in pain for weeks waiting for a dentist to “fit me in” for an emergency! This can’t wait until its an emergency again, or else I’m just gonna end up having my teeth pulled one at a time until there gone.

The last estimate I got was from Georgetown, TX.  It was close to $15k. We saved what money my family could and got 2 teeth pulled, only after the pain had become debilitating, and then life happened, and all the money I’d saved got spent on saving my dog, saving our house, and just keeping us afloat. I broke my back and shattered both heels, I'm walking again, but I'll flat out never be able to do work like I used to, and will never be able to afford the "deals" people with no insurance are offered.

My life hasn’t been a good one, and I don’t believe things get better, at least not for everyone.  But man if I could smile one more time, maybe I could find some solace or peace in that.

Please, help me find my smile, and bring a little joy back to my life. I haven’t seen either in a decade.
