I am actually very nervous to write this, as I don't normally do this sort of thing...but in light of a actual semi-urgent need, and because my birthday is a few weeks away (January 3rd), I thought I would give it a shot.
사실 이런 요청 원래 안쓰려고 했다가 지금 편지를 쓰게 되니까 많이 불안하네요. 그래도 좀 시급한일이 생겼고 저의 생일날도 곧 다가와서 (1월3일) 일단 쓰게되었네요.

As many of you know, I have been living overseas with the aim to serve God for quite a few years now. I have been using my MacBook Retina Pro faithfully for these past 7 years, of which I was able to purchase at a discount thanks to a very dear friend. During this time my little Apple friend has been to many different countries with me, and served me well for many, MANY design and video projects (for church ministry, fashion/streetwear design, video editing, photo editing, as a DJ laptop, translation work, regular administration work, etc) and more.
많은 분들이 잘 아시다시피 저는 하나님을 섬기기위해 해외에서 몇년동안 살고 있었어요. 지난 7년동안 정말 소중한 친구를 통해 할인 받아 샀던 맥북 레티나 프로를 잘 쓰고 있었고요. 그동안 이 애플친구는 저와 함께 많은 나라들을 돌아다니면서 수많은 디자인과 영상 프로젝트들을 (교회 사역, 패션/스트리트웨어 디자인, 영상편집, 사진편집, 디제이하는 일, 번역일, 일반 작업 등) 도와줬어요.
However, the lifespan of my laptop seems to be coming to an end, with failing speakers, a dying charger, and I fight daily with the few gigabyte I have left to create graphic designs on several programs at once, render 4K video footage and batch edit photos...which if you know how much space and power such work needs, you understand how frustrating and slow it can be.
그러나 이제 노트북의 수명이 끝나가고 있는것 같아요. 고장난 스피커, 점점 죽어가고있는 충전기 와 심지어 여러 프로그램 동시에 열려있고
그래픽 디자인을 만들거나 4K영상물을 작업하거나 사진들 일광편집 할때 250GB에 남은 몇기가바이트랑 맨날 싸우고 있어요...이런 작업들이 용량과 성능이 얼마나 필요하는지를 아시면 작업하는게 얼마나 답답하고 느린지 이해할수 있을꺼에요.
Apple just released a new MacBook Pro 16 inch laptop, and looking at the specs I believe that this would be perfect for my work and ministry needs (and be powerful enough to not die on me while running several programs at once!)
최근에 애플에서 새 맥북 프로 16인치가 출시되었는데 노트북의 스펙을 보니까 여러 프로그램들을 동시에 실행해도 죽지 않고 제가 담당한 일과 섬기는 일에 딱 맞다는 생각이 들었어요.
In my current state of living (due to logistical issues, I'm not even making enough money to cover rent per month) I am in no position to be able to afford a new laptop, but I don't see my current laptop lasting much longer and am quite afraid that it will suddenly die on me - and that I'll be in big trouble.
지금 현재 생활에 (어떤 생활적인 문제때문에 월세도 충당할수 없을 만큼 돈을 많이 못 벌어요) 새 노트북을 살여유가 아예 없는데 지금 가지고 있는 노트북이 얼마 못 갈것 같아서 갑자기 죽어보릴까봐 많이 걱정이 되요. 큰일 날거같아요ㅠㅠ
If you were willing to contribute to this as my birthday present for 2020, it would mean the WORLD to me as it would help solve an immediate problem, and you would help me directly with ministry-related and other work that I am responsible for!
혹시나 2020년도에 저에게 생일선물을 주시고싶으시다면 실제적인 문제를 해결하기위해 도움이 되고 사역적인것과 다른 담당한일을 하기위해 엄청 도움이 될거니까 저한테는 너무나 큰 의미가 될 것 같습니다.
(And...help me feel loved on my birthday. Gets hard overseas at this time of year.)
(그리고...생일에 사랑을 받다고 느껴질수 있게 도움이 될거예요. 해외에서 연말을 보내는 것이 저한테 좀 힘들거든요.)
Knowing the volume of work I tend to do, I am looking at the MacBook Pro 16" 1TB which retails in Korea for 3,690,000won (approx. $3000USD, $4,560 AUD...) but if that's not possible then I will aim for the base model, at the very least.
평소에 제가 하는 작업량을 잘 알고 있어서 맥북 프로 16인치 1TB 저장 용량을 보고 있는데 이모델의 소매가는 3,690,000원. 그만큼이 불가능한다면 기본적인 모델이라도 살 목표를 가지고 있습니다.
Honestly, even $5/5,000won would be a help at this point. Just hoping and asking on my birthday^^ I understand I may be asking a lot, so even if you do read this, please don't feel you need to do anything if you don't want!
솔직히 말하자면 5천원이라도 저한테 도움이 될거예요. 그냥 제 생일이 곧 다가오니까 이런 소원을가지고 있어요^^ 너무 무리한 부탁이라고 생각할수도 있으니까 잘 이해부탁드리고 이 내용을 읽으시더라도 부담갖지 마세요~! 하고싶지않으면 안하셔도 됩니다~!^^
