Hello I am Botavia Jackson and I described myself as a woman of faith who believes God can do anything! I have a primary doctor, an endocrinologist, a podiatrist, an optamologist, I wear the Freestyle Libre to monitor my diabetic numbers, I even lost a hundred pounds. As one of my friends said to me, I did everything right! I am a compliant diabetic!
About 6 months ago I bruised my toe and I went to my podiatrist immediately. He began to treat my toe and even referred to a vascular surgeon. However, on November 23, 2022 my foot began to hurt. Well, after visiting my Podiatrist on Monday, November 29th I was told to go directly to the ER. Once I got there, I was told I needed to have my toe amputated, which happened on Tuesday, November 30th. On Wednesday, December 1st, I was told the doctors needed to amputate a second toe, which happened on Thursday, December 3. You would think that was it! NOPE! On Friday, December 4, the podiatrist and the vascular surgeon informed me, they needed to amputate 8 inches below my knee because I had a deadly infection. My life stopped for a brief moment! I couldn't breathed and I felt like someone had punched me in my stomach! After asking some questions, I had to make the difficult decision to have the amputation.
I am currently not working and do not have short term disability. Here is where I need your help. Yes, I have medical insurance but I must meet my $8,000 deductible before they will help me with much needed medical equipment and medical bills. I am asking for $5000 to help with medical equipment, medical and household bills.
I have tried to be as transparent as possible. I thank you in advance for your donation. If you would prefer Zelle, I am registered there also.
Blessings and peace,
Botavia J. Jackson
