I Carry Emmett

Hey, I’m the mother of an adventurous soul named Emmett. He’s a barefoot, feral, wild child like I was growing up, but due to his cerebral palsy, he needs help running wild in the woods. He wants to see more, do more, live more—and I want nothing more than to give him that. I’m raising money to get him a We Carry Kevan pack, a special backpack that will let me carry him to places he can’t reach on wheels. I want him to stand in the Moaning Caverns and look up in wonder. I want to hike a mountain with him and trek down to my hidden swimming hole at Cardiac Hill. He’s so much like me—restless when he’s stuck inside, his spirit is lighter under open skies. And to be honest, we’re both a little tired of looping Lodi Lake.
