unfortunately, hi again!

Most know me as Robin, but I'm currently going by Foster...so do what you will with that.

I'm not really sure where to start with this but I have officially thrown my hat in the ring. Moving to back to CA, and specifically SF is probably up there as one of the biggest mistakes I've made in my 24 years on earth. And it's kind of gotten exponentially worse now that the country is in an economic death spiral.

I don't have family or much of a safety net to rely on so I've been working and taking care of myself as soon as I legally became an adult. I managed to get through a global lockdown, despite being homeless and living in essentially a shelter for most of it. And getting through sexual assaults without the proper support of a family. But this is one of the few times I've ever had to really worried about my future before.

The past few months I've only been making about $1k a month in income, and if you know anything about SF, is that $1k doesn't really do anything. At all!

And this month my hours have only further dwindled. As of 7/14, I'm only going to be working about 16 hours for my entire biweekly pay period!

I don't have a savings account anymore, and my housemates have been having to help pick up the rest of my rent, since April. And I just don't think it's sustainable for me or fair to them.

So if I can't get enough funds or traction to leave the US then I guess I have to leave California, at the least. No idea what else to do.

PLEASE keep black trans folks housed, safe, and a priority. No matter how many people want to split hairs or deny it, we will always face the brunt of what's to come.
