Hello Friends of Ryan!

As many of you probably know, Ryan's sweet, screamy familiar Harvi Dent was diagnosed with an intestinal tumor in 2023 just before the holidays. Ryan went into significant debt to get Harvi the medical care that she needed at the time, not knowing how much longer she would be with us. He just finished paying off his CareCredit balance a couple months ago.

Last weekend, Harvi started having a resurgence of symptoms and Ryan spent most of Sunday with her at the emergency vet. After a lot of tests and some new medication, it looked like she might be in the clear, however over the last couple of days she has continued to have difficulties using her litter box and it seems like she may need another vet visit for treatment, and possibly a surgical procedure, depending on what is financially possible and what will be best for her quality of life.

Ryan has already just about maxed out his CareCredit again with Sunday's vet visit, and is looking at potentially owing much more depending on how things proceed with Harvi's care. Anyone who has had a pet before knows how this goes; the financial stress on top of the grief of caring for an animal at the end of their life is incredibly difficult. Ryan and I are also both low-income folks, and don't have enough savings to cover big costs like this.

I'm creating this GoFundMe in case the many Friends Of Ryan are able to pitch in a few dollars to help him take care of his beloved creature as best he can. This is was my idea and not his; it's hard for most of us to ask for help, but in this situation, I figured that since none of us can fix Harvi's health problems, minimizing her human's stress is the next best thing.
