Hi my name is Margie, I never expected I'd be in this situation but here we are. Ive been hospitalized for the past 5 days now because I started having chest pain... after many tests and a Catheter procedure, the doctors have told me I need a bypass one of my arteries that goes to my heart has plaque buildup that needs surgery. I still don't know when the surgery is scheduled for. I just know that I won't be able to work for a month or so.... my biggest worry and stress is keeping my bills paid and being able to pay my rent and not fall behind or worry my daughters or get evicted (my worst nightmare) . I'm looking into government assistance but now days it's only available for Covid related issues. I'm a bit embarrassed that I wasn't prepared for such a thing with a savings account but unfortunately what I make doesn't leave a lot to save up with. I don't know what else to say other than anything helps! My car payment is $250 my rent is $1675 a month and between phone, light bill and car insurance I come close to $2200 a month in bills. My biggest stress and what's keeping me up is not knowing how I'll be able to pay. I'm a single mother of 2 and have no one that I can depend on or borrow money from.
