I am Tyler STRONG fighting Leukemia

On June 28th 2022, Tyler graduated from Riverside County Sherrif Academy, following along in his father's footsteps. After all of the hard work and dedication, his father had the honor of placing the badge on Tyler.

Not long into Tyler's first few weeks of being a part of the department, he started to feel ill and was unsure and uninformed by other urgent care facilities as to what it could be. He was then taken to Kaiser Riverside where they took action and ran multiple tests; they determined he needed an immediate blood transfusion. By Day 1 , they ran CT scans, Xrays and started to give Tyler blood platelets. On Day 2 , they took a sample of his Bone Marrow for testing.

On day 4, the diagnosis has come back as Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

As of today (8/13/22 ) - Tyler has completed an aggressive Chemo treatment ( 7&3 ).

His body is currently in the recovery stage, experiencing very high fevers and fatigue and showing multiple side effects of the Chemo treatment. However, with the care of an oncology team and Infectious Disease Specialists, we have faith in the doctors from Kaiser Riverside.
