I am running Bideford 10k as a T-Rex for charity

Donation protected
Hi everyone!
I am running Bideford 10Km this coming Sunday 11th May dressed in an inflatable T-Rex outfit, in the hope to raise some funds for Bideford Amateur Rowing Club and the Children’s Hospice South West.

The reason this has come about is I was at the rowing club last week, and we almost had a serious accident with one of our boats because the trestles it was balanced on are very knackered. I have decided to raise money to buy two new sets of trestles for the club (approximately £250) to help them save their boats and members safety!

Any money I manage to raise above and beyond this will be split with the chosen charity of the event, the Children’s Hospice South West.

So a little more information about these two great causes:

Bideford Amateur Rowing Club ‘Bideford Reds’ was founded in 1882, and is run purely on a voluntary basis with no outside funding.
The club provides a friendly, open opportunity to members of the community where juniors and adults alike can learn this fantastic sport and get out on the water.
Rowing is renowned for being a brilliant sport for all round fitness, but what it also brings to individuals is huge benefits to mental health, and the opportunity to practice team work, working together as part of a crew within the boat.
With the club being run solely on membership fees and fundraising, I believe it is really important that we help financially support this club and keep them “afloat”…

Children’s Hospice South West was founded in 1991 by Eddie and Jill Farwell after they experienced for themselves the urgent need for hospice care for children in the South West.
This charity provides an invaluable service to local families who have limited time to spend with their loved ones. They provide nursing care, end of life care and bereavement services but also life enrichment services for children and families so they can make the most of their time together.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you can get behind me and support these two fantastic causes!

Any support on the day (or ice packs!) would also be greatly appreciated, we start to line up on Bideford Quay at 10:20 for 10:30 start…. Eeeek!!

Or should I say… Rawrrrrr…..
