Riding My Bike 2500 Miles Across EU For Charity

Hi ya’ll. My name’s Allan! My passion is riding bicycles + helping people/the world.

So here goes my story…

After a global health crisis, civil unrest, Asian hate crimes, a looming economic crisis, and now a war between Ukraine + Russia, I think the world is pretty tired — We all need a break.

This is where I come in... Combing my love of riding bicycles, peace + love. I am going to cycle self-supported ~ 2500, across 10 countries, with a peace flag across my back(see picture) across Europe to raise money for three organizations that are helping humanity progress forward- UNICEF UKRAINE, MERCY CORPS and PROJECT HOPE .(descriptions of what they do below). The goal is for every mile I ride, I want to raise $10 dollars for these organizations!

This is where I need you!

The goal is to raise $25,000 USD split amongst these charities, but I know we can do better than that, so I'm going to have a stretch goal of $50,000 USD. I secretly know we can do $100,000.

Imagine $33,000 to each charity to progress humankind forward. Let’s make this happen.

PLAN AND PROGRESS- I started in Nice, France July 28th, and have ridden through Monaco, and currently am in Italy. I’ll then head over to Greece, and then ride up Eastern Europe, hoping to end the trip in Amsterdam around end of Nov/Early Dec. Come along for the ride.

As of August 15th, I am 715 miles in of my planned 2500 miles.

Unicef Ukraine-- UNICEF is working with partners to reach vulnerable children and families with essential services – including health, education, protection, water and sanitation – as well as life-saving supplies.

Project HOPE works in five main areas: disasters and health crises; infectious diseases; noncommunicable diseases; maternal, neonatal and child health; and health policy.

Mercy Corps - Mercy Corps is a global non-governmental, humanitarian aid organization operating in transitional contexts that have undergone, or have been undergoing, various forms of economic, environmental, social and political instabilities.
