I am recording a new album!
It's been more than a decade since I released "Millardian Fables".
While Ginger and I are caring for our mothers and the coronavirus limits our ability to tour, we have a window of perfect opportunity to record some pertinent songs of mine, old and new.
Please - contribute only if you are absolutely able to. I know this is an uncertain and difficult time for many.
Out of the hundreds of unrecorded songs I've written, ten made my list. (Not written in stone until I hear from some of you - I encourage your input on what songs of mine *you* would like recorded, too. )
Not surprisingly, some of my most 'angry' songs surfaced, complete with expletives (Take It Away, In The Dirt, Sanity, Match, etc.) . Alongside those, songs of healing. I want to include the backstory and meaning behind these songs. And, dare I say, my newest Kansas song, "Marais des Cygnes" is insisting I play *banjo* on it (don't judge, I promise it's gonna be awesome!)
Anyone contributing $20 or more will receive a finished product (either digital or cd) of however many songs we are able to produce. Anyone contributing $300 or more will get 'Producer' credits on the finished product. Anyone wishing to 'sponsor' a particular song for $500 or more will get exclusive 'Executive Producer' credits on that song, as well as project credits.
Anyone wishing to contribute $1,000 or more can request the recording of any song of mine (not on the list of ten), and receive all credits.
