Hello, I'm initiating a fundraiser for my youngest daughter, Bethany, who is two years old and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and Phelan-McDermid syndrome. Born prematurely at 32 weeks, Bethany underwent an emergency C-section and experienced a brain bleed, resulting in ongoing medical complications. Her frequent medical appointments require me to miss work, affecting our household income. As a part-time worker on call, I must balance work with caring for Bethany. When Bethany is hospitalized, one parent stays with her while the other cares for our six other children, leading to a loss of income. Managing Bethany's medical expenses is becoming increasingly challenging.

Bethany has been diagnosed with numerous health challenges. Bethany has developmental delay; she doesn't sit on her own, crawl, walk, or speak. She has vision problems and is required to wear eyeglasses. Additionally, she has cystic kidney disease, speech delay, antihistamine allergies, and chronic allergies. Bethany also has low muscle tone, problems gaining weight, and is on a specialized formula and medications to address this issue. Furthermore, she has low immunity, making her prone to illness, and low iron and blood cell counts. Currently, our family is facing a difficult time. Our vehicle requires repair, which is essential for transporting Bethany to her appointments, often located out of town and city. However, we are experiencing financial difficulties, hindering our ability to address these challenges.

Bethany requires proper medical bathing equipment, as she is unable to sit in a tub by herself. She necessitates constant supervision and must be strapped into a bathing seat to prevent her from tipping over or leaning, as she lacks the ability to sit up straight or reposition herself.
