I am Fabiola, I need help to get my life back.

My name is Fabiola Pasquali, and I would like to share a little bit about my story. I am a biologist who graduated with honors, and a pianist who lives in Caracas, Venezuela. In February 2006, I had a horrible accident that changed my life. I was visiting a farm, and I decided to ride a horse. All of the sudden, the horse ran wild and threw me onto the ground, fracturing my skull.

This accident left me hanging between life and death for a long period of time. I lost the left half of my skull bones. The left side of my head is sunken and the scalp is pressing onto my brain. I have undergone countless surgeries and suffered many complications.

I am fed through a gastrostomy tube, and I have survived extreme situations. I am conscious; I can listen to conversations, but I can't speak or move. However, I love to smile.

I have been stable, but right now I need another surgery to help decompress my brain and regain some abilities. My parents have always supported me, but at this moment they can't afford the surgery. You can make a difference in my life.

Mi nombre es Fabiola Pasquali, y me gustaría compartir un poco sobre mi historia. Soy una bióloga graduada con honores y pianista que vive en Caracas, Venezuela. En febrero de 2006, tuve un horrible accidente que cambió mi vida. Estaba de visita en una finca y decidí montar a caballo. De repente, el caballo se desbocó y me tiró al suelo, fracturándome el cráneo.

Este accidente me dejó entre la vida y la muerte durante un largo período de tiempo. Perdí la mitad izquierda de los huesos de mi cráneo. El lado izquierdo de mi cabeza está hundido y el cuero cabelludo está presionando sobre mi cerebro. He tenido innumerables cirugías y he sufrido muchas complicaciones.

Me alimentan a través de una sonda de gastrostomía, y he sobrevivido a situaciones extremas. Estoy consciente; puedo escuchar conversaciones, pero no puedo hablar ni moverme. Sin embargo, me encanta sonreír.

He estado estable, pero ahora necesito otra cirugía para ayudar a descomprimir mi cerebro y recuperar algunas habilidades. Mis padres siempre me han apoyado, pero en este momento no pueden pagar la cirugía. Tú puedes marcar la diferencia en mi vida.
