Hi everyone, Ash Hyde here!
I am a proud First Nations woman who has a deep passion for netball and am seeking help to fund this years netball fees for VNL and local netball!
I have played at the state level in 2 teams as of last year, which were both self funded. One of the teams was the First Nations Vic team, which competed in the first ever First Nations National Tournament.
The VNL is the Victorian Netball League which is considered elite netball, and where most of the Super Suncorp players are selected from. It is extremely important to me to play at this level, as I wish to play in the Super Suncorp League one day! Due to personal circumstances, I unfortunately cannot afford the costs of my netball fees this year on my own. I am recently single and am paying the rent to cover 2 people, which is more than half my weekly pay. Due to having to pay these costs, I haven’t been able to afford to pay off the large sum of netball fees that have accumulated!
I don’t come from a family that has a lot of money or wealth, so all of the expenses for netball, I have to pay off my own back. I am also studying this year, which also makes it harder to make enough money to cover my netball and basic living expenses.
The money received will go towards covering my uniforms, including dresses, netball shoes and player fees. These costs playing both VNL and local netball will cost me approximately $2000, which for a part time worker like me, is a huge expense!
I am hoping my community and supporters can help me take a step forward in my netball career!
