Medical Fundraiser for Kim

I was recently diagnosed with three congenital heart defects (Atrial Septal Defect, Ventricular Septal Defect, and Mitral Valve Insufficiency), and my mom was diagnosed with one similar congenital heart issue. From what we have heard, they are NOT life-threatening, as they were caught soon enough. However, they need to be dealt with to keep them from getting worse. We both have been referred to a Minneapolis hospital for the same week with the same doctor for testing during the week of January 15th. We picked Minneapolis, as we have family in that area.

Possible outcomes in the future may only involve ongoing monitoring, or could possibly include medications and/or medical procedures to correct the problem. This Go Fund Me page will have updates, as we learn more information.

The goal for the fundraiser will be based on the actual out-of-pocket expenses (with an extra amount for Go Fund Me Fees tacked on) and will be updated as needed.

My mom and I have separate Go Fund Me pages, as we are separate households with separate insurance policies and our treatments may be different.
