My name is Kimberly Powell. I am starting this GoFundMe for my cousin Melissa. She has a medical condition known as Mal de Debarquement syndrome or MdDS, along with some other chronic conditions that affect her nervous system, stomach, and muscles, which also include many autoimmunities. She has not been able to do much and requires 24-hour care from her parents, who are also taking care of a couple of children, which can be very tiring for her.

Melissa has been approved to start some therapy down in Lake Charles, LA. She will need to be there for two weeks, with the hope of getting the care she needs to help her with her case.

She had been teaching in Jacksonville, Arkansas before she had to move back home with her parents. She misses teaching and playing the piano for her church. There are days that she cannot get out of bed without some symptom happening. There are many symptoms that can cause her to have a not-so-good day: standing up, bending down, stress, loud noises, the weather, and so much more. (If you have more questions, you can ask me).

We are praying that this therapy will be able to work and that God can heal her from this condition. We ask that you help pray with us, for the expenses for the flights, the medical expenses, the wisdom that the doctors need, and the rest for the family.
