What is FBLA?
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a student business organization that empowers young people to earn valuable knowledge and experience in the business world. FBLA boasts almost 200,000 members globally, and we are the next generation of innovators, employers, and employees. The education provided by FBLA will help us in the future to be successful and productive members of our community.
The Engineering Science University Magnet School FBLA chapter has worked hard in fundraising to manifest 2023 as our best showing at the FBLA State Leadership Conference! This year we are very proud to announce that our FBLA students did an outstanding job at the event. We had 19 students place in the Top 5 and a record number to advance to the national competition. We had more students placed in the Top 10 than any other school in the area.
This year 12 students are advancing to compete at the 2023 FBLA National Leadership Conference being held in Atlanta, Georgia this summer. Unfortunately, with great results comes financial demands for our students. We are raising funds for Nationals and the support of individuals, families, & businesses can make this possible by sponsoring part of a member's cost, such as their lodging or registration, so that he or she can compete and represent Connecticut at this national event for the first time. Our goal is to raise $17,595.
The cost for the trip is $1,595 per student which includes the following:
⦁ $195.00 Registration
⦁ $500.00 Lodging (4 Nights)
⦁ $650.00 Ground and Air Transportation
⦁ $250.00 Fees, Food, and Activities
However, this amount does not include business attire including FBLA scarves, ties, and jackets which are required for competition.
IMPORTANT! All money collected from this fundraiser is strictly only used for ESUMS FBLA. This amount will be covering all of our ESUMS FBLA ventures.
At this event, FBLA members can develop their networking abilities and hone their business skills. Students participate in workshops and use their knowledge to participate in competitions that showcase their business prowess. FBLA boasts over 230,000 members, and they are the next generation of innovators, employers, and employees. The business education provided by FBLA will help them in the future to be successful and productive members of our community.
These 11 outstanding FBLA students are preparing for their individual and team events while participating in other fundraisers. Your support in helping ESUMS FBLA competitors participate in this exciting opportunity will be appreciated. We have attached information on sponsorship benefits and how to donate. Look for announcements of our accomplishments thanks to your support!
