Harrison - Move It May
Harrison would like to invite you to support him in raising funds for his Cousin Ollie by dancing for 15 minutes every day in the month of May in aid of the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association.
All donations will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much.
More information about Prader-Willi Syndrome Association: We're the only charity in the United Kingdom supporting families living with Prader-Willi Syndrome. We offer a dedicated support team who are often required in times of crisis, as well as our Community social events which give families an opportunity to meet friends, old and new in an understanding environment. Individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome also have the chance to make relationships that last a lifetime.
As care for Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) improves, more adults with PWS are living into middle age and beyond. However, it's unclear what health issues they may face as they grow older, such as problems related to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, frailty, and cognitive decline. Some studies suggest they may be at risk of early cognitive decline, similar to what's seen in other neurodevelopmental disorders. These challenges may be linked to factors like obesity, hormone imbalances, and genetic abnormalities. Research is needed to understand these health issues and determine if there's evidence of premature aging and increased risk of cognitive decline in adults with PWS in the UK.FPWR UK & PWSA UK are working in partnership to fund research into aging in PWS
